A sensational case has come to light from Shahpur police station area of Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Here a young man had a love marriage with a girl from the locality in the temple. He made her his wife and lived in a rented house for seven years. When he was satisfied with her, he was going to leave her and marry someone else. The girl complained to the police. The police arrested the young man even before the procession could take place. When the bride’s side came to know about this, they broke the marriage.
The victim girl told the police that when she was a teenager, Mahendra Raj of the locality befriended her. He used to come and go everywhere with her. Mahendra used to praise her beauty. He proposed marriage to her. The victim told that at first she refused to marry him. But he was adamant. After his repeated insistence, she agreed to the marriage. It is alleged that during this period, Mahendra also had relations with her several times. But later he started avoiding marriage.
Married in the temple in 2017
The victim girl told that the accused Mahendra used to keep insisting on marrying her after having a relationship with her. On her insistence, he married her in a temple in 2017. It is alleged that even after this, Mahendra kept meeting her only to have a relationship. After a lot of pressure, he got her a room on rent. He used to visit him often. When the victim insisted on staying with her family at his home, he said that he will take her only after convincing her family.
Was getting married for the second time on 22nd November
The victim told that accused Mahendra had been doing this for seven years, but he did not take her home. For a few days he stopped coming to her. Whenever he came, he used to fight with him. Later it came to light that she had also got her tilak applied secretly to get married at another place. He was not aware of this at all. Her wedding date also fell on 22nd November. The victim told that she received a call. She was told that Mahendra was about to leave with a wedding procession for his second marriage. As soon as the victim came to know about this, she reached her house. When I looked there, the wedding procession was ready.
Police arrested
He informed about this at Shahpur police station. The victim told that when she called Mahendra, he did not pick up the phone thrice. Picked up the phone for the fourth time and started getting angry. When she asked about second marriage, he got angry. It is alleged that Mahendra threatened to kill the victim. On his complaint, the police reached the spot and arrested the young man.
bride’s side broke the relationship
When the family members of the girl came to know about this, where he was going to take the wedding procession, they immediately broke the marriage relationship. In this matter, SP City Abhinav Tyagi said that a girl had complained. She was calling herself the wife of the accused. Despite this the young man was going to marry for the second time. The police have registered a case and arrested the accused. Further action will be taken on the basis of evidence and facts.
