Sony TV’s much-loved crime investigation series CID is set to make a grand return next month after a six-year hiatus. The show, which originally premiered in 1998 and captivated audiences for two decades before concluding in 2018, will air its revamped version starting December 21, 2024. Fans can tune in every Saturday and Sunday at 10 p.m.
The upcoming season stars Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava and Dayanand Shetty, reprising their iconic roles as ACP Pradyuman, Abhijeet and Daya, respectively. The makers have been teasing fans with intriguing promos and the latest one has everyone buzzing with excitement.
The newest promo showcases Daya, played by Dayanand Shetty, making his signature style return. Injured yet indomitable, he smashes through a door and delivers a powerful line: “Dushman bhi mujhe mita nahi paaye, main wapas aagaya, apne liye ladne aur jo bhool gaya hai, usse yaad dilane ki liye – ‘Daya is back!'” The promo’s caption reads, “Apraadhi chahe kitne bhi darwaze band kar lein, Daya se nahi bachenge!”
