A surprising incident has happened in Basti, Uttar Pradesh. Here a 32 year old youth was beaten to death. This incident was not committed by anyone else, but by the young man’s father and elder brother. Before the incident, everyone was having a liquor-cocktail party at home. While eating and drinking, there was a fight between father and son over property. Meanwhile, the young man’s father along with his elder son started beating him. The wife of the deceased alleges that she kept screaming to save her husband, but the accused kept kicking and punching her till her death.
Police have registered a case against all the accused on the complaint of victim’s wife Nirmala Devi. The matter is of Jitipur village in Paikawalia police station area of Basti district. Even the young man’s eye got injured in this incident. In the complaint given to the police, the wife of the deceased told that the entire family of Ram Lakhan Verma, living in Jitipur village, was gathered. There was a liquor party at home on Saturday night. A fight over property started during the meal itself.
Police engaged in investigation of the case
Meanwhile, her father-in-law Ram Lakhan Verma, mother-in-law Malti Devi, brother-in-law Ram Ganesh Verma, brother-in-law Rajendra and Vinod started abusing her husband America Verma. Within no time this abuse turned into a fight. The victim told that she kept screaming, but the accused kept beating her husband till he died. The victim’s wife alleges that all the accused were drunk at the time of the incident. On the other hand, CO Pradeep Kumar Tripathi said that the wife of the deceased has accused him of usurping property in her complaint. The police is investigating the matter.
