On November 21, the anti-corruption team had arrested computer operator Sujit Sharma, posted in the office of Block Education Officer, Saidpur, red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000. Bribe of Rs 10,000 demanded for disposal
The victim Yashwant told that he went to the office of the Block Education Officer on October 9. There he met Block Education Officer Avinash Rai. He told him that if you want the matter to be resolved then give Rs 10,000 along with the application to computer operator Sujit Sharma. After this, when I met Sujit Sharma, he told me to arrange the amount that sir has told me to give, then the matter will be over. The victim teacher complained to the Block Education Officer
The victim contacted Anti Corruption Team Varanasi. After the complaint, the anti-corruption team arrested Sujit Sharma red handed while taking bribe. In this case, a case has been registered against Sujit Sharma, a computer operator, a contractual employee of the Block Education Officer, under Section 13(2) and Section 13(1) B and Section 7 of the Corruption Act. But the name of Block Education Officer Avinash Rai has also been included in the complaint given in Saidpur police station.
In such a situation, it is clearly evident in this whole matter that Sujit Sharma Computer Operator is not a lone player. Rather, he committed such an act at the behest of an officer. The victim says that action should be taken against Avinash Rai also by the departmental officials. This matter remains a topic of continuous discussion in the department. At the same time, an attempt was made to know the stand of Basic Education Officer Hemant Rao on this matter but his mobile was found switched off.
