Sambhal violence: Attack took place in Jama Masjid to stop survey, major reason revealed

So far, three people have been confirmed dead in the violence that broke out during the survey of Jama Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. Taking action on this, the administration has arrested 15 people and sealed the entire area. A big statement of lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain, who was part of the team that went to survey Jama Masjid on the orders of the court, has come to light. On the violence that broke out during the survey, he said that it was a well-planned plan to scare the survey team. However, the survey team has completed its work and the report will be presented in the court soon.

Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, who was part of the survey team, revealed during a discussion with TV9 Bharatvarsha that the violence that broke out in Sambhal was completely planned. He said that the people instigating violence have attacked the survey team to scare them. He said that this is a violation of the order and the atmosphere has been deliberately spoiled. This attack was carried out to stop the survey team so that the survey could not be completed and the truth could not be revealed to the people.

Violence erupted due to leaders’ statements

Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain said that during the violence, the police took out the survey team in time and saved them from the attackers. He said that everything was going well during the survey but people were deliberately driven away from there. He said that all this has happened because of the statements of the leaders who tried to prevent the truth from coming out in any way. He told that the survey team is completely safe at present.

Survey completed

Advocate Vishnu Shankar said that the survey work inside Jama Masjid has been completed. Even before the violence broke out, the survey team had recorded videos and photos inside the mosque. The team had completed the survey work. Now on November 29, the survey team will present the report in the court. The Police Commissioner has said in this matter that after watching the video footage of the area, he will register a case against the people.

Place of Worship Not Applicable

Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain said that the Place of Worship Act does not apply in the case of Jama Masjid of Sambhal. He said that this is because it is clearly written in this Act that whatever building is in the ASI list, that is, the buildings which have been protected do not come under this Act.
