According to the report, Mohanlal wanted to make this film in Hindi in the year 2017. He wanted to cast Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role, but Amitabh had already played a similar role in Vipul Shah’s film Aankhen, due to which the project could not move forward. It is said that Ajay Devgan was also considered for this role. However, now this film is finally being made with Saif.
