After BJP’s historic victory in Maharashtra, a round of meetings has started regarding government formation. The three parties involved in the Grand Alliance are holding separate meetings today. Many leaders including BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawan Kule have reached Devendra Fadnavis’ Sagar bungalow. The next strategy is being discussed in this meeting. Meanwhile, the meeting of Shinde faction has started in Taj Land Hotel.
In this meeting, Eknath Shinde will be elected the leader of the MLA group. Apart from this, there is also a meeting of NCP Ajit Pawar faction today, in which he will be elected the leader of the legislature party. This meeting will be held at Ajit Pawar’s house.
Historic victory of Mahayuti in Maharashtra
The BJP led Mahayuti alliance has got a landslide victory in the Maharashtra elections. BJP has emerged as the largest party. Mahayuti alliance has got 233 seats. In this, BJP has got 132 seats, Shinde faction’s Shiv Sena has got 57 seats, Ajit faction’s NCP has got 41 seats, JSS has got two seats and RSJP has got one seat. This victory is historic for BJP and its allies.
Assembly term ends tomorrow
The tenure of Maharashtra Assembly is going to end on 26th November. In such a situation, according to sources, there is news that the swearing in ceremony will take place tomorrow itself. But the problem is regarding CM face. It is not decided at the moment whether Eknath Shinde will get the command or Devendra Fadnavis will be crowned the CM. All three parties are holding separate meetings regarding this.
