Diabetes has become a serious health problem in India. According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, more than 250 million people in the country are affected by diabetes. In view of this growing problem, the agreement signed between NABH and RSSDI aims to manage this disease effectively. Clinical and digital health standards will be followed for better treatment and care of diabetes, so that patients can get the best outcomes.
Digital health standards will be implemented
Under the agreement, NABH and RSSDI will together implement the latest digital health standards for diabetes patients. This will help patients and doctors to use new technological tools and guidelines. Additionally, the best clinical guidelines for diabetes management and research will be developed leveraging the expertise of RSSDI. These guidelines will ensure that diabetic patients receive scientific and evidence-based treatment.
High standards of accredited clinics
Under this agreement NABH and RSSDI will ensure that the accredited diabetes clinics adhere to the highest standards. This will include education, research and guideline-based care programs for patients. Along with this, these clinics will provide personalized care by modern technology and trained doctors, so that patients can achieve their health goals. The ministry also said that this partnership will help in raising NABH standards for allopathic clinics, thereby providing high quality care to patients.
Role of RSSDI
RSSDI, representing more than 12,000 diabetes care specialists in the country, will play a key role in this agreement. The ministry said RSSDI will actively promote certification to NABH’s allopathic clinic standards among its members to ensure that standards of diabetes care remain high across the country.
