UP: Court order, then survey in Jama Masjid after 2 hours; Sambhal turned into a cantonment… Hindu side said – this is the temple of Shri Harihar

The court of Civil Judge Senior Division Aditya Singh in Sambhal gave a big order on Tuesday. Civil Judge Aditya Singh ordered a commissioner’s survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid located in the city. Following the court order, the survey team reached the mosque late in the evening. Advocate Commissioner Ramesh Singh Raghav along with DM Rajendra Pesiya, SP Krishna Kumar Bishnoi, Supreme Court advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain and others were present in the survey team. A large number of police forces are deployed around the mosque. No one is being allowed to wander around.

In Sambhal, Civil Judge Senior Division Aditya Singh ordered a commissioner survey of Shahi Jama Masjid. This order was given on the petition of Mahant Rishiraj Giri Maharaj of Kailadevi temple. Supreme Court lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain appeared in the court on behalf of Mahant Rishiraj Giri Maharaj. Vishnu Shankar Jain claimed that Shahi Jama Masjid is Shri Harihar Temple. It is here that Lord Vishnu’s Dashavatar Kalki is to be incarnated.

Shahi Jama Masjid described as Shri Harihar Temple

Let us tell you that for the first time a petition was filed to declare Shahi Jama Masjid as Shri Harihar Temple. While hearing the petition, an order was given to conduct a survey of the mosque on the very first day. The court of Civil Judge Senior Division Aditya Singh said that it would be easier to do justice through the survey. On the court’s order, lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain said that the commissioner’s survey has been ordered from the civil court. An order has been given to file a report with video-photos.

Ramesh Singh Raghav was made Advocate Commissioner

Ramesh Singh Raghav was made Advocate Commissioner by the court of Civil Judge Senior Division Aditya Singh. The court of Civil Judge Aditya Singh gave this order at 3.30 pm on Tuesday and at around 6 pm the survey team under the leadership of Advocate Commissioner Ramesh Singh Raghav reached the mosque to conduct the survey. That means the survey work started within two and a half hours of the court order. The team remained inside the mosque for about two hours. During this, DM Rajendra Pesiya, SP Krishna Kumar Bishnoi, Supreme Court advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain and others were present.

Petitioner Mahant did not get entry into the mosque

At the same time, a five-member committee was formed by the district administration, which was with the survey team. There was no one in the court from the Muslim side. The survey permit was received by him. Advocate Vishnu Shankar had also gone inside the mosque with the survey team, while petitioner Mahant Rishiraj Giri has not got entry into the mosque. They remained standing outside. COs of two circles, Sambhal and Asmauli, were deployed around the mosque.

MP Ziaur Rahman Burke raised questions

Shahi Jama Masjid is situated in Kot East of Sadar Kotwali area. As soon as it became known that the survey was being conducted in Jama Masjid, there was a stir there. People of Muslim community reached near the mosque, but during this time a large number of police forces were deployed. People were removed from there. Sambhal MP Ziaur Rahman Burke said that we respect the court’s decision. Thousands of people wanted to gather near Jama Masjid, but we stopped them. At least seven days’ notice should have been given. It was heard today itself and the survey was ordered today itself.

Full cooperation was given to the survey team – Mutawalli of Jama Masjid.

Whereas Shahi Jama Masjid’s Mutawalli Advocate Zafar said that a survey of Jama Masjid has been done. The survey was conducted for about two hours. We fully cooperated with the survey team. We hope this is our Jama Masjid. DM Rajendra Pesiya said that considering the way the court order came, police force was deployed in the city so that law and order does not get disturbed.
