Hearing was held in Allahabad High Court on Seema Begum’s petition in the case of suicide of a minor maid in the house of SP MLA from Bhadohi, Zahid Beg. Let us tell you that Seema Begum, the absconding wife of jailed MLA Zahid Beg, had filed an application for anticipatory bail in the Allahabad High Court.
Petitioner Seema Begum’s lawyer has sought two days’ time from the High Court to file the supplementary affidavit. Now the next hearing of the case will be on 21st November.
What is the matter?
In fact, on September 14, 2024, on the basis of SI Hardatt Pandey’s complaint at Bhadohi police station in Bhadohi district, a case was registered against SP MLA Zahid Beg and his wife and son for making a minor girl work as a laborer and instigating her to commit suicide.
Dead body was found in MLA’s house
The minor maid was found dead in the MLA’s house on 9 September 2024. In this case, MLA Zahid Baig and his son have been arrested by the police and both are in jail. Bhadohi police had earlier arrested the MLA’s son Jaim. After this, MLA Zahid Baig surrendered in the court.
MLA’s wife absconding
The MLA’s wife Seema Begum is still absconding. Police have registered a case against Seema Begum under section 209 for disobeying the court order. In this, there is an order to confiscate the property of the MLA’s wife Seema Begum. Following the order of the district court, on Monday, the police has attached the property of Seema Begum, who was absconding in the suicide case of a minor maid.
Zahid Baig is lodged in Naini jail
Let us tell you that SP MLA Zahid Beg is lodged in Naini jail of Prayagraj and his son is lodged in Varanasi jail while the search for his wife Seema is going on. The team of police and labor department had freed another minor maid from the MLA’s house. This case is being heard by a single bench of Justice Samit Gopal.
