Many animals that came to this fair have become the topic of discussion. The Pahari breed sheep from Samastipur district has also become the center of discussion. This sheep and horse has reached the market, where a huge crowd of people is coming every day to see it. It is being told that the sheep owner has been coming to this fair with his animals for the last several years.
This time in the Sonpur fair, animal lover Dr. Jitendra Yadav from Mohanpur village of Samastipur district has brought a sheep of Pahari breed for exhibition, which has become a topic of discussion in the entire fair. Yadav told that he had bought this sheep from the rural area on the China-Nepal border. The animal lover told that the price of this sheep is Rs 55 thousand. At the same time, it costs about Rs 15 to bring the sheep to the fair.
Mountain sheep has been the winner for 8 years
He told that this sheep of Pahari breed named Arjun has been the winner of the competition held in the fair for the last 08 years continuously. In the past, he has become the winner by defeating 08 sheep in the Sonpur fair. No one has been able to fight this sheep and has not even been able to defeat it. The sheep is old. Therefore, we will not fight it this time and will not bring it to the Sonpur fair from next time. This time it will be its last meeting with the people in the fair.
‘Nobody sells animals’
Jitendra Yadav told that now we will keep Arjun (sheep) at home only. He told that he has been bringing horses, dogs, sheep and bulls of different breeds to Sonpur fair for the last 16 years. Yadav told that he brings animals only for exhibition. I do not sell any animal. I am very fond of keeping animals. He told about the sheep that this sheep is very powerful and aggressive. There is a lot of discussion among people about this sheep. It is known that the Sonpur fair held in the world famous Harihar area is also known as cattle fair.
