Delhi NCR air heavy, AQI reaches @460; Due to smog the sun set at 3 o’clock

The air of the national capital Delhi and NCR has become poisonous. The AQI here was already crossing 400. Now on Sunday evening the AQI has increased to beyond 460. This situation of AQI falls in the very serious category. Due to smog, the sun started setting only at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. According to the report of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature in Delhi NCR on Sunday was recorded at 15.9 degrees Celsius, 1.8 degrees more than the normal.

According to the report released by the Meteorological Department at 9 am on Sunday, AQI 429 was recorded here at that time. At 3 pm this figure increased to beyond 460. It was sunny on Sunday morning, but by afternoon the sun was covered due to smog. Due to this change that happened within a day, many people also experienced difficulty in breathing. In such circumstances, doctors have advised children, elderly people and people suffering from chronic diseases to stay indoors as much as possible.

There will be fog tonight

According to the Meteorological Department, it is good if AQI is between 0-50. Similarly, 51-100 AQI is considered satisfactory. AQI between 101-200 is considered moderate and AQI between 201-300 is considered poor. According to the Meteorological Department, AQI between 301-400 is considered very poor and AQI between 401-500 is considered severe. According to the bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department, there will be fog tonight and Monday morning. During this period the maximum temperature will remain up to 30 degrees Celsius.
