Punjab connection found in Baba Siddiqui’s murder, helper of Bishnoi gang arrested

Mumbai Police has made another arrest from Punjab in the murder case of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui. This is the 24th arrest so far in this case. Maharashtra Police has arrested Akash Deep Gill of Fazilka district of Punjab. Mumbai Police carried out this action in collaboration with Punjab Police (AGTF). According to officials, Gill had helped the shooters in the murder. At present he is being brought to Mumbai on transit remand.

On October 12, NCP leader Baba Siddiqui was shot dead near the office of his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui in Nirmal Nagar area of ​​Bandra. Mumbai Police has so far arrested 24 people in this case. Recently, the police also arrested the main shooter Shivkumar Gautam from Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, who was absconding after the incident. Gautam was caught while trying to escape to Nepal.

Lawrence Bishnoi gang connection

Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said that the arrested accused Akash Deep Gill is a helper of Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Preliminary investigation has also revealed that he was cooperating with the shooters involved in the murder. AGTF Additional Director General of Police Pramod Ban said that Punjab Police is working in collaboration with Mumbai Police in this case, so that the entire conspiracy of murder can be exposed.

Joint operation of Mumbai and Punjab Police

Police have exposed a big network in this case, in which suspects have been arrested from many states. With the arrest of Akash Deep Gill, the role of Lawrence Bishnoi gang in this conspiracy has become stronger. The investigation of the case is continuing, and the police say that the police of both the states are taking joint action to break every link of this gang.
