On the 150th birth anniversary of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Prime Minister Modi paid tribute to him in Jamui, Bihar and issued a postal stamp in his name. Also gifted projects worth more than Rs 6000 crores. Along with this, Prime Minister Modi also held the previous governments responsible for neglecting the tribal society. He said that due to the previous governments the tribal society remained neglected. The tribal society lagged behind in the race for the development of the country.
Prime Minister Modi said that it was not just one party or one family that contributed to the country’s independence, but many great heroes of the tribal society had made sacrifices. He said that the contribution of tribal society did not get its proper place in history. The tribal society was neglected for years. An attempt was made to erase the contribution and sacrifice of the tribal society.
