CM Mohan Yadav Seoni Visit: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav planted paddy with farmers in Seoni, gifted development works worth crores of rupees and released bonus amount to the farmers.

Bhopal/Seoni: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was seen in a unique style in Seoni district on Wednesday, July 1. Seeing his simplicity, farmers and common people became elated. People seemed very excited to have the CM among them. This visit of CM was not limited to just government programs. He went straight to the fields, entered the muddy paddy fields with the farmers and personally experienced the hard work of farming by planting the paddy. This was the reason why these pictures of his remained in discussion the whole day. While interacting with the farmers in the field, he also discussed farming, crops and the needs of the village. Many farmers seemed excited to take pictures with him and express their views.

Simplicity seen in the fields, time spent among farmers

During the Paddy Mahotsav organized in Seoni, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached the fields in traditional style. He planted paddy saplings with farmers and participated in farming related activities. During the program, in some photographs the Chief Minister was seen talking to the farmers and inquiring about their well-being. The villagers said that it was a special experience for them to see a Chief Minister working in the fields like this.

CM Mohan Yadav opened the treasury

During the Paddy Festival, the Chief Minister opened the treasury for the people of the district. Distributed Kodo Kutki bonus and gifted development works. He inaugurated 586 development works worth Rs 349.33 crore and performed Bhoomi Pujan worth Rs 144.8 crore in Seoni. He visited the exhibition and performed Kanya Puja in the program organized here. Apart from this, CM Yadav announced construction of four lane road from Balaghat to Seoni, government college and stadium in Chamara development block of Seoni and other development works.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav gave the gift

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the paddy crop of Madhya Pradesh has got the GI tag. With the grace of Mother Lakshmi, under the Rani Durgavati Shri Anna Protsahan Yojana, today an amount of Rs 282.99 crore has been given to 3941 farmers of the state in the form of Kodo Kutki bonus at the rate of Rs 1000. The state government is giving minimum support price as well as bonus to the grain producing farmers. For the first time in the state, a campaign to purchase Kodo Kutki has been started at the government level. Along with this, today under the Chief Minister Public Welfare (Sambal) 2.0 Scheme, ex-gratia assistance amount of Rs 365 crore has been transferred to 16,754 labor families of the state through a single click through the Panchayat and Rural Development Department.

State government taking care of the poor

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the opposition governments never gave the name of Sambal Yojana to the poor and needy. Under Sambal Yojana, the government provides assistance of Rs 4 lakh in case of accidental death, Rs 2 lakh in case of normal death and Rs 1 lakh in case of disability. Labor families are also being provided free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat Scheme. The state government is working for the welfare of the poor, deprived and people sitting in the last row of every section of the society. A survey is being conducted to provide housing to all the eligible people who were deprived of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

CM said that today for the overall development of Seoni district, 586 development works worth Rs 349.33 crore were inaugurated and bhoomi pujan of 43 works worth Rs 144.8 crore was done. He said that earlier Kodo-Kutki, Jowar, Bajra, Maize were called the crops of the poor. Prime Minister Modi increased its prestige in the country and the world by starting the ShriAnn Protsahan Yojana. The elements present in Sri Anna are digested most quickly. The state government has started purchasing food grains since last year. The effect of El Nino is visible on the monsoon this year. If there is less rainfall then farmers should be prepared to harvest all the crops including Kodo Kutki.

Government is giving benefits of many schemes to farmers

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that today 3941 farmers of the state have been given a bonus amount of Rs 2 thousand 83 lakh at the rate of Rs 1000 for 2829 metric tonnes of Kodo Kutki. Work is also going on for branding, packaging and marketing of Koto Kutki in the state. Dindori’s Sitahi Kutki, Nagdaman Kutki, Purple Pigeon pea have got GI tag. He said that the state government is providing benefits of many welfare schemes to Annadata in the Farmer Welfare Year. Soybean producing farmers have also been given benefits through Bhavantar Yojana. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Bhavantar Yojana will also be implemented for paddy crop in the state. The state government will pay the difference between MSP and market price to paddy producing farmers. He said that our government is working on value addition in every sector from farm to market.
