Taking forward the ambitious plan of providing 24 hours green energy, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav called upon investors to become participants in the energy revolution of Madhya Pradesh.
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the pre-bid meeting held at MP Bhawan in New Delhi on Tuesday, July 1 through virtual medium. He said that the state government has rapidly started work on the ambitious project of providing 24-hour renewable energy. This pre-bid meeting has been organized for this purpose. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is starting a new era in the field of clean energy and the state government is continuously taking concrete steps in this direction.
New and Renewable Energy Minister Rakesh Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary Manu Srivastava and representatives of many major energy companies of the country also participated in the meeting.
Madhya Pradesh is moving towards fulfilling the promise made in Davos
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that as per the resolution made in Davos, Madhya Pradesh is now moving rapidly towards providing 24-hour green energy. The government’s aim is not only to increase power production but also to develop a clean and sustainable energy system, so that the state can create a new identity in the energy sector.
Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Project becomes the biggest achievement of the state
The Chief Minister said that the Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Project has given India a new identity at the global level by setting the lowest solar energy tariff in the country. Apart from this, solar power projects of Shajapur and Neemuch achieved the state’s lowest electricity tariff of Rs 2.14 per unit, which is considered a major achievement in this sector.
He informed that recently a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has been signed at the rate of Rs 2.70 per unit for a four-hour energy storage project in Morena. This project is among the most competitive energy storage schemes in the country.
Investors will get transparent and favorable environment in energy sector
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state government is fully committed to providing transparent policies, quick decision process and better infrastructure facilities to the industries and companies investing in the energy sector. He urged investors from India and abroad to be a part of the energy revolution of Madhya Pradesh and invest in the state.
Government’s special focus on green energy and energy self-reliance
The Chief Minister said that the aim of the government is not only to start new projects but also to include Madhya Pradesh among the leading states of the country in the field of green energy, energy security and sustainable development. He expressed confidence that with the experience of Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Project and cooperation of all stakeholders, the 24 Hour Renewable Energy Project will prove to be a historic achievement towards India’s energy security and green development.
Major energy companies of the country took part in the meeting.
Representatives of many leading energy companies including Tata Power, Reliance Energy, Torrent Power, Jindal Renewable, NTPC, Adani Greens, Hindustan Power, Mahindra System participated in this pre-bid meeting held in New Delhi. During the meeting, investment and future possibilities in green energy projects in the state were discussed in detail.
