To ensure that the performance of the bike remains intact and you continue to get excellent mileage while driving the motorcycle, it is important that you get the Motorcycle Servicing done on time. Most of the people are such who do not get the bike serviced on time and then complain about falling mileage and performance. Do you know after how many kilometers the bike should be serviced?
Regular servicing of the bike is important not only for the life of the engine but also for the performance and mileage. Let us know after how many kilometers you should get the servicing done, otherwise you may incur a loss of thousands of rupees.
After how many kilometers should the service be done?
Anil Kumar, owner of Shabbir Automobile (Madhu Vihar, IP Extension Delhi) said that whether it is a bike or a scooter, it is better to get it serviced every 2 thousand kilometers. This is because if you keep getting the servicing done at the right time, then the life of the engine will be good, the performance of the bike will also be excellent and the bike will support you for more kilometers in one liter of oil.
If you are not able to get the servicing done at 2 thousand kilometres, then get it serviced at least for 2500 kilometres. If you get late servicing after 2500 kms, then the piston, clutch plate and chain of the bike may get damaged.
If this happens, the cost of getting the piston repaired will be around Rs 3 thousand, for getting the piston and clutch plate repaired, it will cost up to Rs 4500 and if there is a fault in the engine, the cost can go up to Rs 6 to 7 thousand. Of course, now many such new models are coming which are being serviced at 5 thousand kilometers, but there are still many such bikes which should be serviced between 2000 to 2500 kilometers.
