A major incident happened in Surat district of Gujarat. A massive fire broke out in a gym named Suncity in City Light area on Wednesday evening. Within no time the fire took a dangerous form. The fire also engulfed the spa center built above the gym. During this time, two girls working in the spa center died. Both the girls died of suffocation. Three girls came out in time, while two girls got stuck in the bathroom. Both the girls were residents of Nagaland.
According to the information, there was a lot of activity in Suncity Gym on Wednesday evening. Suddenly smoke started coming out from the gym and the people doing gym came out. There was also a spa and salon center above the Suncity gym. Some girls were working there. Within no time the fire reached the spa center and the place was filled with smoke. Seeing the fire, the girls working there got scared and started screaming.
2 girls locked themselves in the bathroom
During this time, two girls locked themselves in the bathroom, while three girls somehow gathered courage and came out. Both the girls, locked in the bathroom, died of suffocation. Both these girls were residents of Nagaland. After receiving information about the accident, the police and fire brigade team of the local police station reached the spot. The fire brigade quickly controlled the fire and entered the spa centre.
Fire started due to short circuit!
When the fire brigade went to the bathroom, both the girls were lying unconscious. The team immediately took them to the hospital, where doctors declared both of them dead. On receiving information about the accident, DCP Surat Vijay Gurjar and Divisional Fire Officer Harish Gadhvi also reached the spot and investigated. However, it is not yet clear what caused the fire. Prima facie it is being said that there is a short circuit. However, the fire brigade team is busy finding out the cause of the fire.
