In addition to showing the time to full charge, Battery Intelligence may also send you a notification when your phone hits key charging milestones, like 80%. If you need your phone charged quickly but don’t have much time, this feature can help you understand how far along your phone is in the charging process.

Apart from showing the estimated time to charge your iPhone, Battery Intelligence also helps you maintain the battery of your iPhoen for a long time. The feature will likely also suggest some personalized tips to improve how you can charge your iPhone. For example, it may suggest ways to avoid charging habits that could shorten the battery’s lifespan, like charging your phone to 100% too often.
This is particularly important because charging your iPhone in certain ways can impact battery health over time. When Will it Be Available?
It must be noted that Battery Intelligence is still being tested in the iOS 18.2 beta, which means it’s not yet available to the public. iOS 18.2 is currently in beta, and Apple plans to release it to the public in December. When it is released, it will likely be available for iPhone 14 models and newer, the report suggested.
For iPhone 15 and newer models, iOS 18 already includes battery health options, such as the ability to limit charging to certain percentages (like 80%) to help preserve battery life. Battery Intelligence will build on these features, giving users even more control over their charging habits.
