Skoda Kylaq Teased Once Again Ahead Of Official Debut Tomorrow

Skoda will reveal the much-anticipated Kylaq tomorrow. Ahead of the official unveiling, the brand has teased the upcoming sub-4-meter SUV once again.

The teaser video shows a flash of close-up images of the Kylaq. They show the LED daytime running lights, the taillamp, and the Kylaq badging on the boot lid. Skoda has shared fully camouflaged images of the Kylaq at an earlier date. This is the first time the upcoming SUV has been teased in the flesh.

It will measure under four meters and compete with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue, etc. The specifications of the Kylaq are still under wraps, but it will likely have the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine available on the Kushaq. This engine produces 115 hp and 178 Nm of peak torque.

It will have six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a standard rear ISOFIX child seat anchor point. Though Skoda will reveal the Kylaq tomorrow, its launch will take place next year. Since the Kylaq will be positioned below the Kushaq, its ex-showroom prices are expected to fall between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 14 lakh.
