The name of this WhatsApp feature is Low Light Mode. Sometimes it happens that we are talking on video call but due to dim light around us, we are not able to get good quality. In such a situation, this feature was added keeping in mind that you can connect properly with your friends and family, but there are still many people who do not have any information about this feature.
WhatsApp Low Light Mode
WhatsApp’s low light mode works to enhance the quality. During video calling, users also get the facility of filters and background options which help in enhancing the experience of the users. After turning on Low Light Mode, you will be able to connect clearly with your friends and family even in low light.
To turn on this feature, first open WhatsApp. After opening the app, start video calling, during calling you will see the bulb icon on the right side of the screen. This feature will start working as soon as you tap on this button. Low Light Mode feature of WhatsApp is available for both Android and Apple iPhone users.

The thing to note is that this feature is not currently supported on Windows app. It is not that once you enable this feature, this feature will work for all calls, you will have to turn on this feature every time during video calling.
