From Dhanteras to Diwali, business worth Rs 4.25 lakh crore has been done in the country. Now after the festive season, the wedding season will start from November 12. According to estimates, this wedding season will last for 2 months and this will also give a boost to the economy.
According to CAT’s estimates, there will be 48 lakh marriages in the country this wedding season. It is expected that a business of Rs 6 lakh crore will be generated from these weddings. If we talk only about the capital Delhi, there is a possibility of a business of Rs 1.5 lakh crore from 4.5 lakh marriages in Delhi alone. According to traders, people had started wedding shopping before Diwali which is still going on.
This thing was taken advantage of
People take advantage of the variety and discounts on Diwali, hence people started shopping for the wedding season with the offers of the festive season. CAT has conducted survey after talking to business organizations in 75 cities. Last year, in the wedding season, a business of Rs 4.25 lakh crore was generated from 35 lakh weddings, which is now expected to increase this season. This year, from 12th November to 16th December are the auspicious times for bumper weddings.
18 auspicious times in 2 months
The wedding season, which starts in November, will start on the dates of 12, 13, 17, 18, 22, 23, 25, 26, 28, 29 and will continue till 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16 December. There are a total of 18 days of marriage auspicious days in 2 months. There will be a break in weddings for about a month from December 17. The wedding season will start from January next year. From mid-January to March 2025, there will be only marriages.
Increased demand for Made in India
According to the survey report of CAT chief Praveen Khandelwal, buyers have changed their shopping trend this time. Now people are buying Made in India products more than foreign goods. The country’s economy has also got a huge boost due to people’s massive shopping on Diwali. Now the eyes of businessmen are fixed on the wedding season.
