Team India has to leave for Australia tour on 10th November. But, before that Pakistan’s tour of Australia starts. The first ODI match between Pakistan and Australia is in Melbourne. Both the teams had already announced the playing eleven for this match. 21 year old middle order batsman Irfan Khan is going to debut for Pakistan. For Irfan, this opportunity is also a means to live his dream. Irrfan Khan had mentioned this dream of his in an interview given to PCB.
Left home in 2017
Irfan has also hoisted the flag for Pakistan in Under-19 cricket. But, his journey to the national team was not easy. He had to make many efforts to wear the jersey of Pakistan team. Irfan, who had decided to make cricket a career, left home at the age of just 14. In the year 2017, he left his home and came to Faisalabad so that he could get better cricket training. Here leaving home means creating distance. Irfan told in the interview that he did not go home for 6-7 months.

Took training in Salman’s academy
In the interview, Irrfan Khan mentioned Salman Bhai’s academy, which he had joined to learn cricket after coming to Faisalabad. The cricket bug had entered him in school itself. He got a chance to hone his skills in Salman’s academy.
Desperate to make dream come true in Australia
In the interview video shared by PCB, Irfan Khan is seen telling that playing for Pakistan against Australia. His dream has come true as he got a chance to debut in the first match of the ODI series. Secondly, he said that only better performance against big teams makes you a big player. I want to see myself emerging as a match winner against Australia. If Irfan really seems to be living this dream after getting a chance to debut, then it would not be wrong to say that he is a player.
