Agartala (Tripura) [India], November 4 (Desk): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday applauded the Tripura Police for busting a drug menace and seizing drugs worth Rs 3.75 crore from Panisagar town of the North Tripura district.
The police officials of Panisagar town seized 1,50,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs 3.75 crore from a vehicle coming from a neighbouring state at Panisagar Naka.
In this incident, a person has been detained and a case has been registered under the NDPS Act.
In a post on X, Manik Saha wrote, “Kudos to Tripura Police! Today, Police personnel intercepted a vehicle coming from a neighbouring state at Panisagar Naka and seized 150,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs3.75 Cr. One person detained and a case registered under NDPS Act. Great job, Panisagar Police…Keeping our communities safe from the scourge of drugs!”

Earlier on November 2, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha applauded the Tripura Police for seizing drugs worth Rs 2 crore from Ambassa, Dhalai district of the state.
The police officials of Ambassa Police have seized 80,000 YABA tablets worth Rs 2 crore after intercepting a vehicle.
According to CM Saha, the Ambassa Police received secret information about the movement of the vehicle transporting the drugs. Acting on the information, the Ambassa Police detained a vehicle and arrested the driver, resulting in the seizure of the YABA tablets.
He further said that a case has been registered under the NDPS Act and congratulated the police officials for their efforts.”Great job by Ambassa Police for seizing 80,000 YABA tablets worth Rs 2 CRORE.
