A youth has been arrested for threatening Pappu Yadav, independent MP from Purnia, Bihar. Purnia Police, with the help of technical team, went to Delhi and arrested a youth named Mahesh Pandey. Purnia SP Kartikeya Sharma said that preliminary investigation has not revealed any connection with gangster Lawrence Vishnoi gang. However, it has been revealed that he knows some people of MP Pappu Yadav, which is being investigated.
According to the police, the first threatening call to Pappu Yadav came from a Dubai number and the second from a Delhi number, but the person making both the calls was the same. SIMs of UAE and Delhi have been recovered from the arrested youth. It is said about the arrested youth that he has also worked for many politicians. He was known to people associated with Purnia MP Pappu Yadav. At present the police is interrogating the arrested youth. At the same time, MP Pappu Yadav has also applied to the police in the case of threatening over phone.
Called from UAE number
Police has brought Mahesh Pandey from Delhi to Purnia. At the same time, the young man has also confessed his crime. He admitted his crime and said that he had previously worked with many former MPs and MLAs. A few days ago, he had gone to UAE for a visit, where his sister-in-law lives. There he took a SIM in his sister-in-law’s name and used it as long as he stayed there. When he returned from UAE, he did not return the SIM to his sister-in-law. He brought it with him to India and created an account on WhatsApp with the said number and started using it.
MP Pappu Yadav’s number removed from Google
Meanwhile, Purnia MP Pappu Yadav gave his reaction on the Baba Siddiqui murder case on TV channel. Mahesh Pandey also saw this news and looking for his opportunity, he took out the number of MP Pappu Yadav from Google and sent him a message by writing “Hi” from UAE WhatsApp number. When the MP did not respond, he sent a photo of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Then called continuously on WhatsApp. Then sent him a threatening voice message on WhatsApp. In the voice message, first spoke lovingly and said that I respect you. I have been your fan ever since you spoke the dialogue that won you an independent 5 times. But by speaking about his brother (Lawrence Vishnoi), the elder brother lowered my respect in the eyes of my brother.
According to Purnia Police, Mahesh Pandey was a resident of Sector 4, Delhi. His father’s name is Krishna Kumar Pandey. Police have recovered his mobile and SIM. Purnia SP said that more arrests will be made in this case. All the numbers from which calls have been received have been traced. Prima facie, no connection has been found with Lawrence Vishnoi gangs. Threats from local gangs of Bihar-Jharkhand are also being investigated.
Purnia Police increased security of MP Pappu Yadav
At present, after receiving the threat, Purnia Police has increased the security of MP Pappu Yadav. At present he has got Y grade security. Pappu Yadav had increased this and demanded Z category security from the Government of India, which he has not received till now. Pappu Yadav had said about gangster Lawrence Vishnoi that “If the government gives him permission, he will eliminate Lawrence’s gang in 2 hours.” After his statement, he started receiving threatening calls from different parts of the country.
