The accused dragged the priest by his hair and then tied him to a tree and beat him badly. The accused committed this crime over a dispute over filling two pots of water from the borewell. Many videos of this incident are going viral on social media. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and registered a case against the accused and started investigating the matter.
The matter is near Kothi number 27 of Fatehpur area of Kotwali area in Shivpuri city. The victim priest Vijay Das Kushwaha has given a complaint to the police in this regard. Told that he performs puja at the temple of Chakk village. A few days ago, his family members put pressure on him to live near Kothi number 27 in Fatehpur area and perform puja here, so he started living here. On Friday morning he had gone to the borewell to collect water for puja.
The accused are from the family itself
Meanwhile, his cousin Gyasi Kushwaha, his wife and two sons Chhinga and Hiralal came there. These people started fighting over filling water. While he was trying to defend himself, Gyasi’s wife started dragging him by his hair. The rest of the people caught him, tied him to a tree and beat him badly. During this time, someone present at the spot made a video of the entire incident with his mobile camera and posted it on social media.
The priest filed a case
This video went viral within no time. After this, the Kotwali police came into action and registered a case after taking the complaint of the priest. According to police station in-charge Rohit Dubey, an NCR has been registered against three people and the matter is being investigated.
