He was associated with Lashkar for the last 20 years. He was considered the right hand man of Sajad Gul in the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organization. The killing of Usman has dealt a major blow to the entire Lashkar network. Lashkar also believes that Usman was actively working for the organization for the last two decades.

Usman’s code name was “Chhota Walid” and he was considered the most senior commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Kashmir. In recent times his activities were continuously increasing. For this reason he had become at the top of the hit list of security forces. Usman’s role is being investigated in the murder of Jammu and Kashmir Police Inspector Masroor during a local cricket game in Eidgah area of ​​Srinagar in October 2023. According to security forces, the killing of Usman is a major achievement against terrorism in Kashmir.

IGP VK Birdi said that the terrorist killed by the security forces has been identified as Usman. He was the commander of Lashkar. He told that 4 security personnel have been injured in this operation. The role and involvement of the terrorist who has been killed in the murder of Inspector Masroor has come to light. Usman killed in Khanyar encounter

During the Khanyar encounter, there was heavy firing between security forces and terrorists. Two CRPF jawans and two policemen were injured in this encounter. After the encounter, security forces recovered Usman’s body as well as a huge amount of ammunition from the incident site. This encounter is considered to be the biggest terrorist encounter that took place in Srinagar after September 15, 2022.

3 terrorists killed in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, three terrorists have been eliminated in three separate encounters in Kashmir. These encounters include Srinagar, Bandipora and Anantnag. The encounter is still going on in Bandipora, while two terrorists were killed in the encounter that started on Saturday in the forests of Anantnag. Security forces have achieved great success in search operations at all three places.

Security forces believe that these encounters and the elimination of terrorists will reduce terrorist activities in Kashmir to some extent. The killing of a dangerous terrorist like Usman has caused great damage to the network of Lashkar-e-Taiba. It is said that the main objective of this organization is to target Kashmiri Pandits, Sikhs and migrant labourers.
