As the date of assembly by-elections to be held on nine seats in Uttar Pradesh is coming closer, the atmosphere of politics is getting heated. Parties have intensified their campaign by putting up hoardings. Meanwhile, on behalf of Bharatiya Janata Party, Samajwadi Party leader Vijay Pratap Yadav retaliated on the statement of state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that “if we divide, we will cut”. He put up hoardings of “Judenge to Jeetenge” on the roads leading from Raj Bhawan intersection to the Samajwadi Party office.
This poster of the SP leader is being seen as a reply to BJP’s “Batenge to Katenge” slogan. CM Yogi had recently given the slogan “Batenge to Katenge” in a public meeting in Agra, after which the discussion on it intensified.
statements being made through posters
SP leader Vijay Yadav is counted among the experienced leaders of the party. In such a situation, his move has further heated up the atmosphere of politics in the UP assembly by-elections. Both the parties are continuously trying to gain lead on these seats. Earlier, in many districts including the capital Lucknow, SP had pasted twenty-seven posters in which slogans for Akhilesh Yadav’s victory in the 2027 UP elections were written. With this statement of BJP, SP leaders are seen trying to unite the voters.
surrounded on many issues
SP is continuously trying to corner BJP on many issues. Leaders raised the issue of inflation on the festival of Diwali. SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav said that due to anti-people policies of BJP, the color of festivals has faded. He said that the prices of vegetables and other food items have increased so much that the aroma of the dishes in homes is not able to come out of the kitchen. He said that due to hyperinflation under the BJP rule, the old idiom has become a new use – “expensive oil has taken away the public’s oil”.
