The accused who murdered a Taekwondo player over a land dispute in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh have been arrested. Aliganj police station of Lucknow has arrested two accused during checking. Jaunpur police has arrested an accused with weapons. The police is interrogating him. Aliganj Police has contacted Jaunpur Police and given information about the arrested accused. Due to a land dispute, the accused had slit the throat of Taekwondo player Anurag Yadav with a sword.
One sword (Alakatal), two swords with rexine sheath, one sword, two Gandasa, one chapad with fiber sheath and two sickles have been recovered from the accused arrested from Jaunpur. On the other hand, Lucknow Commissionerate Police has arrested two accused who murdered Anurag Yadav in Jaunpur during checking. The police have brought them to the police station.
Taekwondo player’s throat was cut with a sword
A 40 year old land dispute is going on between two parties in Kabiruddinpur village of Gaurabadshahpur police station area of Jaunpur. On Wednesday morning there was a minor altercation between both the parties. Angered by this, people from the other side brought out swords and sharp weapons from the house. He attacked Anurag Yadav with a sword, due to which his neck got severed. After the murder all the accused absconded. Police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. Jaunpur DM had directed the Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue to conduct a magisterial inquiry into this incident.
Case against five people
In this case, Gaurabadshahpur police had registered a case against Ramesh, Shashank, Suraj, Lalta Yadav and Lalmohan, residents of village Kabiruddinpur. Gaurabadshahpur police arrested Lalta Yadav in this murder case from near Azamgarh border Godhra bridge. On his information, the sword and other sharp weapons used in the murder have been recovered.
Lucknow police arrested two accused
Suraj Yadav and Ramesh Yadav, accused of murder of Taekwondo player Anurag Yadav, have been arrested by Lucknow Police. Both the accused were arrested during police patrolling in the early hours of Thursday morning. According to the police, both the accused were found suspicious during the checking done during festival patrolling in Paligan of Aliganj police station area. When asked, he started trying to run away. The police caught them and during interrogation it came to light that both of them had fled from Jaunpur after committing murder. The police have taken both the accused into custody and informed the Jaunpur police. Upon arrival of Jaunpur police, Aliganj police will hand over both the accused.
