According to the report of consulting and research company Tefficient, Reliance Jio The customers have used the most data in the last few months. Big Chinese telecom companies have also lagged behind Jio. Jio has left behind companies like Airtel, Vodafone Idea, China Mobile, China Unicom.
There has been a slight decline in the number of Jio customers, but there has been a tremendous increase in the number of 5G customers. Now Jio has the highest number of 5G customers in the world after China.
Jio’s profit also increased
Jio has also earned good profits in the last few months. Both the revenue and profit of the company have increased. This means that Jio’s business is growing rapidly. Reliance Jio’s net profit in the July-September quarter has increased by 23.1 percent to Rs 6,231 crore.
Whereas its revenue increased by 14.5 percent to Rs 28,338 crore. Jio has good internet network coverage including 5G in the country. Therefore more people are able to use the internet.
Jio has so many crores of customers
At the end of the September quarter, the total number of Jio customers was 47.88 crore, which is less than 48.97 crore customers in the June quarter. However, the company remains the largest 5G operator outside China with 148 million 5G customers.
Jio said in the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25 that about 148 million customers have migrated to its 5G network, which is about 34 percent of the company’s wireless data traffic. This is showing a continuous increase from 31 percent and 28 percent in the previous quarters, which proves the pace of adoption of 5G service.
