Editor Nishadh Yusuf Was Working On Mammootty’s Bazooka Before Alleged Suicide At 43, Pics Go Viral

Nishadh Yusuf, a notable film editor, was found dead at 2 AM at his home in Panampilly Nagar, Kochi on Wednesday, October 30, per PTI. A police officer said that the incident was suspected to be a case of suicide.

However, the police are investigating the case.

Nishadh was one of the crew members of Suriya starrer Kanguva, which is slated to release next month. According to his social media handle, he was a prominent member of Mammootty starrer Bazooka as he was editing the movie.

After the news of his death broke, a post went viral on the internet informing that Nishadh was working on his next movie Bazooka. The viral photo is posted by director Deeno Dennis offering a glimpse of what goes behind the scenes. In the photo, Nishadh can be seen busy working on his desktop in a studio. He was the editor of the movie. The post was shared 5 days ago and captioned as “The Man in action (film frames emoticon). Nishadh cuts (sissor emoticon)!!! @bazookamovie loading!!!”

What do we know about Bazooka?

It is an upcoming action thriller, which marks the directorial debut of Deeno Dennis. Apart from Mammootty, the movie also stars an ensemble cast, including Gautham Vasudev Menon as Benjamin Joshua IPS, Babu Antony and Neeta Pillai. The music was composed by Midhun Mukundan, while the cinematography and editing were handled by Nimish Ravi. The movie is scheduled to release either in December 2024 or January 2025.

Apart from Bazooka, he was also working at Alappuzha Gymkhana. It is helmed by Khalid Rahman and stars Naslen K Gafoor and Lukman Avaran in the lead roles. It is scheduled to release in 2025.
