Actor Arshad Warsi recently watched Stree 2 and loved it. He appeared in a promotional interview and talked about just how much he enjoyed the horror-comedy.
The actor also appreciated Rajkummar Rao for delivering a fantastic performance in the film. He maintained that the Amar Kaushik-directorial was the ‘last good film’ he saw this year.
Arshad’s comment about Stree 2 comes weeks after his statement about Prabhas’s performance in Kalki 2898 AD was blown out of proportion. While speaking to Mashable, the Jolly LLB 2 star said, “I saw Stree 2. I loved it, I thought it was fab. I really liked it. Rajkummar Rao is so good, he is such a good actor. I enjoy it when I see money go into good use. When you spend so much money on a film and then people like that.”
He also addressed the entire hullabaloo around his comment on Prabhas and Kalki 2898 AD. Arshad shared sarcastically that he has learnt his lesson and has decided to appreciate all films, all actors and all directors now. “I have already decided I will love every film that I am going to see. I have made up my mind, every actor I like, every script I like, every director I like,” he mentioned.
Arshad Warsi’s comment on Prabhas
During his appearance on a show with podcaster Samdhish, the actor explained why he didn’t find the Nag Ashwin-directorial impressive. The actor said he watched Kalki 2898 AD and felt disappointed with the way the makers treated Prabhas’s character.
when he expressed his dissatisfaction with the pan-India post-apocalyptic drama. In the same interview, he added that Amitabh Bachchan’s performance as Ashwatthama was the film’s only redeeming quality.
Arshad said, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata (What have you made of him? I don’t understand why they do such things).”
Meanwhile, Arshad is gearing up for his film Jolly LLB 3, in which he has featured alongside Akshay Kumar. The film is slated to hit the screens in April next year.
