An important meeting was held for the people of Darbhanga in the auditorium of Darbhanga Municipal Corporation regarding the Metro Rail route. RITES officials associated with the Metro Rail project were present in this meeting. Apart from Darbhanga District Magistrate Rajeev Roshan, Darbhanga MP Gopal Ji Thakur, City MLA Sanjay Saraogi along with Darbhanga Mayor Anjum Ara and Municipal Commissioner Rakesh Gupta also attended the meeting.
According to the information, the Metro official displayed the possible route made by him on the monitor in the meeting. Also explained the proper reason behind it. Apart from this, opinion of the officers present in the meeting was also taken. All detailed discussions on the possible route of the first phase were held in the meeting; Also, an effort was made to create a consensus regarding the route, so that the people of Darbhanga get maximum benefit from it, keeping this in mind, it has been said once again to build the metro rail route.
Route chart revealed
In the first phase, most people are talking about preparing the metro rail route on the lines of a ring road. After this, it is being asked to expand it in the second and third phase, but everyone’s consensus was that Darbhanga would have Darbhanga airport, bus stand, DMCH hospital, district headquarters at Laheriyasarai in Darbhanga, apart from the railway station. The route to Darbhanga airport should be determined through the new AIIMS to be built.

However, the final approval has not been given in the meeting yet. There is a hope that after the next meeting, the final approval on the metro rail route can be given. After this, the DPR of the entire scheme will be prepared and the work will be started soon.
