Indian Railways is continuously working to provide better facilities to its passengers. However, an incident has come to light yesterday which has raised questions regarding the facilities provided during the journey. On the night of 29 October, the electricity of B-four bogie of 12557 Saptkranti Superfast Express going from Muzaffarpur to Anand Vihar got damaged, which was not rectified throughout the night. Due to power failure, all the passengers in the coach had to face problems throughout the night.
When the passengers of the coach complained about this on the X-handle of Railway Board, Railway Minister and DRM of the concerned area, there was a stir in the railway department at Muzaffarpur Junction. Sonpur Division DRM Vivek Bhushan Sood has given instructions to investigate the matter after the complaint of passengers. B-four bogie of the train is at Anand Vihar Terminal, where it was examined.
From which station did the lights fail?
Vivek Bhushan Sood said that the final check of the coach of the train will be done on October 30 when the train reaches Muzaffarpur. Also said that the headquarters will also take action against the culprits in the case. According to the information received from the passengers, the lights of B-four coach were not burning since the train started moving from Bagaha station.
Complained to coach attendant about no light
According to the information received from the passengers, they had complained to the coach attendant about the lights not coming on, after which he informed the electrical department. Passengers told that after reaching Lucknow, the mechanic came but the problem was not detected. The coach attendant also left the coach, then during the entire journey he did not enter the B-four bogie nor did the lights of the coach work properly. Passengers told that they had to face many problems during this period.
