Controversy over the name of ‘Ram’ in JNU… ABVP and Left face to face, both took out march

There was a dispute between ABVP and Left students in Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University. Meanwhile there was a lot of commotion. Slogans were raised from both sides. ABVP workers have accused a Left student of allegedly making indecent remarks on Lord Ram. At the same time, left workers have called these allegations false. He has accused ABVP students of threatening to make the Dalit student disappear.

General body meeting was being held in JNU campus on 28 October. Students from all the student organizations were present in the meeting. Everyone was saying their own thing. In such a situation, the students of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad allege that a student from a left organization came to GBM and used abusive language against Savarkar. It is alleged that the student also made indecent remarks on Lord Ram. After this, the ABVP students present there expressed strong objection to this statement.

ABVP students took out Shri Ram Samman Yatra

Students of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad say that they have appealed to the student union that the student who has said such derogatory words to Lord Ram should apologise. It is alleged that the pro-Left students chased away the student who said this objectionable thing from there. In protest against this entire matter, ‘Shri Ram Samman Yatra’ was taken out by the students of All India Council from Ganga Dhaba to Sabarmati on the night of 29 October, in which a large number of students were present. They raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram during the entire demonstration.

ABVP is making false allegations to shine politics – Left

The allegation of the pro-Left student regarding this entire controversy is exactly the opposite. JNU Students Union President Dhananjay Kumar alleges that no student has said anything objectionable to Lord Ram. To shine their politics, the students of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad are making such false allegations against the pro-Left students. Dhananjay says that during the GBM, when people were presenting their views, ABVP students were continuously trying to influence the GVM by hooting. A student was presenting his views, during which many students of ABVP came on the stage and started listening to him.

Told Dalit student, will make her disappear like Najeeb – Left

Dhananjay also alleges that ABVP students told the Dalit student that like Najeeb, they would also make her disappear. In protest against ABVP, JNU Students Union took out a protest march from Sabarmati Dhaba to Ganga Dhaba. However, no one has any proof of the allegations that both of them are making against each other. The police have not received any complaint yet.
