Cow is worshiped in Indian culture and people also call her Mother Cow. In such a situation, the Rajasthan government has banned calling cows with derogatory words. It has been decided in the government of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma that the word ‘street cow’ will not be used for cows. This word has been described as derogatory by the government. Also, instructions have been given not to call cows from street cows in the state.
Instead of street cows, the government has now asked to call cows by the name of ‘destitute cows’. Actually, there are some cows which have been roaming on the streets and there is no one specifically present to look after them. In such situations, people call them street cows. The government has asked to call such cows by using a word like destitute cow.
Instructions given to DM
On behalf of Gopal in the Rajasthan government, instructions have been given to the DMs of different districts for this new change. It has been said in the instructions that cows are an important part of our culture. In such a situation, it is not appropriate to use derogatory words for the cows roaming on the streets in search of food.
In the instructions given by the government, it has been said that cows seen on the roads or in any public place should be called destitute cows. It is insulting for them to be called street guy. The government made it clear that terminology is an important tool to express compassion and respect towards someone. In such a situation, it is our moral responsibility to respect cows, which are an important part of our culture.
