Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP chief Ajit Pawar became emotional while addressing a rally after filing nomination from Baramati Assembly on Monday amid the Maharashtra Assembly election campaign. Ajit Pawar alleged that NCP patriarch Sharad Pawar has created a rift in the family and has fielded a candidate against him.
While addressing the people, Ajit Pawar said that earlier I had admitted to making mistakes, but it seems that now some other people are also making mistakes. I and my family had earlier agreed to file nomination in Baramati, but that did not happen. Despite the challenges, we came out of the bad situation, mother supported us, mother says do not fill the form against grandfather. After this Ajit Pawar started crying bitterly on the stage itself.
‘Politics should not be brought to such a low level’
However, I was told that Saheb (Sharad Pawar) had instructed someone to file nomination against me. Saheb created division in the family. I just want to say that politics should not be brought to such a low level. Because it takes generations to unite and it does not take even a moment for a family to break.
In fact, in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, once again a political fight is being seen between uncle versus nephew in Baramati Assembly seat. On one side Ajit Pawar is contesting from Baramati seat and on the other side Yugendra Pawar is contesting from Sharad Pawar faction. Yugendra Pawar is the son of Ajit Pawar’s brother Srinivas.
Now two faces of one family are facing each other in the assembly elections.
Therefore, like the Lok Sabha elections, the electoral battle for the Baramati seat in the Assembly elections has once again been fought between a family. It is believed that even after fielding his brother’s son, Ajit Pawar accused Sharad Pawar from the packed stage of creating division in the family.
