This time the thieves have not stolen from anywhere else in the district but from the temple built inside the cremation ground itself. Thieves have stolen lakhs of rupees from the temple, which include cash, brass bells and silver umbrella by breaking the locks of 14 donation boxes of the temple. After the incident, there is a lot of protest on this matter by the people living in the surrounding area.
These days the morale of criminals is high in Sambhal. Thieves have committed theft worth lakhs from the temple in the cremation ground of Sita Ashram under Chandausi police station area. According to the information, thieves have made away with goods worth lakhs of rupees from the temple. There is a lot of anger among Hindu organizations after this incident. Due to the incident of theft in the temple, people have started raising questions about the work of the police.
5 lakhs stolen from the temple of crematorium
Despite the police post being only three hundred meters away from Sita Ashram, the thieves have no fear of the police. People say that thefts are happening continuously in this area. This time the thieves have not even left the temple. It is being told that around Rs 5 lakh has been stolen from the temples of the cremation ground located in Sita Ashram. Mahant Ram Avtaar Upadhyay of Shani Dev Temple located in the crematorium told that when he woke up on Sunday morning, he saw that the donation boxes of the temple were open.
Thieves stole one and a half kilo silver umbrella
The locks of the donation boxes were lying broken on the ground. He also noticed that there were no bells in the temple. It is being told that the thieves have committed this incident with the help of hammer and screwdriver. Thieves have stolen one and a half kilo silver canopy, crowns and ornaments of other idols and donation box from Kali Mata temple and stole cash from it.
Police engaged in investigation
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot, registered a case of theft and started searching for the thieves. The police have started scanning the CCTV cameras installed nearby to trace the thieves.
