‘I want 55000 Dollar…’ Threat to bomb 10 hotels including Lemon Tree-Marriot of Lucknow

After a bomb threat email was sent to 10 hotels in Rajkot city of Gujarat, now 10 hotels in Lucknow have been threatened with bombs. Many hotels including Hotel Fortune, Lemon Tree and Marriott located in the capital of UP have received threatening mail. A demand for money has also been made in the mail. The hotel operators have informed the police.

The mail threatened to blast the bombs if any attempt was made to defuse them. The person sending the mail has said that the bombs were kept in a black bag. After receiving the information, search operation is going on in many hotels of Lucknow. Police including dog squad and bomb disposal squad are checking the hotel. Search operation is going on in Piccadilly Hotel located in Krishnanagar. The entire hotel is being investigated.

Demand of 55 thousand dollars

On receiving information about bombs in hotels, the police has started investigation. It is written in the mail that bombs have been hidden in black bags in the grounds of your hotel. The black bag is being searched by the police and hotel staff. It is written in the mail that I want 55000 dollars, otherwise I will detonate the bombs and there will be blood everywhere. Threats have been made that if an attempt is made to defuse the bombs, they will be detonated.

These hotels received threats

Threats have been made to blow up luxury hotels in Lucknow. Threatening mail has been sent to 10 hotels in the city. The hotels which received the black bag bomb threat include Hotel Marriott, Circa Hotel, Piccadilly Hotel, Comfort Hotel Vista, Fortune Hotel, Lemon Tree Hotel, Clarks Awadh Hotel, Hotel Casa, Dayal Gateway Hotel and Hotel Sylvette . The police is investigating the matter.

Rajkot hotels also received threatening mail

On Saturday, similar mail was received by hotels in Rajkot, Gujarat. There too, a threat was given to blow up 10 hotels. According to Rajkot Police, the threatening email was received by the hotels at 12:45 pm. After which the police along with the bomb disposal squad searched these hotels. After a five-hour investigation, nothing suspicious was found in the hotels.
