Team India’s former Test captain Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara, considered the wall of Indian cricket in modern day cricket, are not getting a chance to play in Test cricket for the last 18 months. Due to which it is now almost certain that the selection committee will never give these players a chance to play for Team India.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane have also now come to know that both these great players will no longer get a chance to play for Team India. For this reason, some media reports were claiming that Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara want to announce their retirement by playing their farewell match for Team India, but BCCI Secretary Jay Shah is against this decision of Indian veteran players. Cheteshwar Pujara started his career in Test cricket in the year 2010. Whereas Ajinkya Rahane played his first match in Test cricket in the year 2013. Ajinkya Rahane has 12 centuries and 26 half-centuries in his name in Test cricket, while Cheteshwar Pujara has 19 centuries and 35 half-centuries in his name in Test cricket.
