The Anti-Terrorism Squad of Gujarat Police on Saturday arrested a person for giving intelligence information to a Pakistani spy. He has been arrested for sharing sensitive information about Indian Coast Guard ships with a Pakistani agent.
ATS Superintendent of Police K Siddharth said that a person from Porbandar has been arrested in this case. Accused Pankaj Kotia was lured by a Pakistani agent named ‘Riya’ to give information about ICG ships and its jetty in Porbandar.
Got 26 thousand rupees for giving information
Superintendent of Police Siddharth said that Pankaj, who was working temporarily on the jetty, had come in contact with Riya on Facebook 8 months ago. Since then he was in constant contact with her. Riya told Pankaj that she works in the Indian Navy and lives in Mumbai.

The Superintendent of Police said that the WhatsApp number on which he had shared sensitive information about the location and other details of ICG ships and jetties belonged to Pakistan. He told that in the last 8 months, Rs 26 thousand was given to Pankaj in installments through UPI for such information. This money has been transferred to his 11 different bank accounts.

ATS said that a case has been registered against Pankaj and Riya under sections 61 and 148 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). He has been accused of waging war against the Indian government and hatching a criminal conspiracy. At the same time, the police is busy gathering more information from the accused in this case.
