Relief news for Team India, which is lagging behind in Pune Test, the year long wait will end on 6th November.

Pune Test is turning into a nightmare for Team India. The Indian team, which has already lagged behind in the series after losing the Bengaluru Test, seems to be on the verge of defeat in front of New Zealand in the Pune Test also. This performance of Team India before the Australia tour is not only shocking but also stressful. Amidst this battered condition of Team India in Pune, a relieving news has come from Bengaluru. This is a relief news regarding star fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who has been away from cricket action for the last one year due to injury. It has been told in a report that Shami is going to return to the field soon and for this he is heading towards Ranji Trophy, where he can be seen playing 2 matches for Bengal next month. In such a situation, his match fitness and practice will also be done before the Australia tour.

The wait will end on November 6

A report in Indian Express states that Mohammed Shami may soon join his home team Bengal in Bengaluru. Quoting Bengal cricket team head coach Lakshmi Ratan Shukla, it has been revealed in this report that Shami may return from the match starting from November 6. This match will be played between Bengal and Karnataka and will be held in Bengaluru only. Shukla expressed hope that the star Indian pacer will be available for this match and then will be able to play in the match against Madhya Pradesh also. If this happens, Shami will get 2 matches to gain momentum before the Australia tour.

Team India’s selection for the Australia series is likely to happen after the Pune Test match. According to reports, Team India will leave for Australia soon after the end of the third Test match in Mumbai. In such a situation, if Shami takes part in these Ranji Trophy matches, he will not be able to go to Australia with Team India. However, Team India will give more priority to his match fitness so that he can join the team after reaching Australia later. India-Australia Test series will start from November 22 in Perth. 5 test matches will be played in this series.

Shami is out for last 1 year

Shami suffered an ankle injury during the ODI World Cup last year and has been out of the field since then. Shami had undergone ankle surgery in London this year and since then he is undergoing his rehabilitation process at home as well as at the National Cricket Academy. Although Shami was expected to return from Ranji Trophy at the beginning of this month, after which he could play in the New Zealand series, but during this time his left knee got swollen, due to which he had to wait. Recently, during the Bengaluru Test match, he was seen bowling to Team India players in the nets.
