Shashank Singh replied in the assault case (Photo-PTI)
Shashank Singh remains in the headlines for hitting sixes and fours in IPL, but currently this player remains in the news due to a controversy. A servant working in his house alleged against Shashank Singh that he was badly beaten at home. After this incident, a case has been registered against three people including Shashank Singh, which also includes his father who is a former IPS. Now Shashank Singh has put forward his side in the case of assault on the servant. He claimed that a person named Vipendra Singh had come to his house two days ago and he was taking photos as well as making videos of his house. Shashank expressed suspicion that Vipendra had come to his house with the intention of stealing. Shashank Singh also accepted one of his mistakes in this matter. Let us tell you what he said?
What did Shashank Singh say on the allegations of assault?
Shashank Singh said while talking to the media, ‘If someone comes for two days, why would you keep him hostage? He was enjoying food and drinks here. Kept taking cool videos and photos. He came calling himself a cook but he did not know how to cook at all. He was just having fun by coming to my house. Was taking photos and videos. Was going to my room. If you come calling as a cook then why do you have to go into someone’s room and take photos and videos. I suspect that he came with the intention of stealing. I am relieved that nothing like this happened. Yes, there is a silver Ganpati ji which we are not able to find. Apart from that, my mother and sister are checking if anything is missing.
What was found in the phone of the cook who accused Shashank?
Shashank Singh claims that home videos and photos were found from the cook’s phone which his mother got deleted. He said, ‘There were home videos and photos in his mobile which were deleted by his mother. He was very private. What will we do by snatching his mobile? Papa had made a video while she was leaving. Papa told him to call before going home and not disappear in the middle of the house.

Which mistake did Shashank admit?
Shashank Singh further said, ‘My sister said to call the police. So he said I am poor. My mother is ill. So I said, don’t take police action. I wondered whether he would remain sitting in the police station. I became emotional and said that it was my fault. We didn’t know that he would go out and do all this. He came on the recommendation of someone who knew Papa. Sometimes it happens that you keep it on the advice of someone you know. But this is a big lesson for our family to hire servants only from verified agencies. When dad gets his background checked, he finds out that he is a drug addict. We should have got the background check done earlier, we got it done two days later, this is a mistake. ‘
