New Delhi: The Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 concluded with its group stage on Wednesday, October 23. A total of 12 matches, featuring eight teams across two groups, were played from October 18 to 23 at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman.
Four teams with most points – two each from Group A and Group B – have advanced to the semifinals after some intense competition played in the last week. Both the semifinals will be played on Friday (October 25) before the final scheduled on Sunday (October 27). Let’s take a look at the points table of both groups before moving to the knockout round.
In Group A, Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A finished with four points each. Sri Lanka A topped the table on the basis of superior net run rate (NRR) of +0.833 to Afghanistan A’s +0.212. Bangladesh A and Hong Kong managed to win one match each with the former securing the third place.
In Group B, India A have topped the charts winning all three of their matches against Pakistan A, United Arab Emirates and hosts Oman. Pakistan A finished at the second place with two wins and one loss to accumulate four points. UAE took two points after their four-wicket win against Oman in the first match.

Who will play semifinals of ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup?
Sri Lanka A and Pakistan A will engage in the first semifinal match of the tournament on Friday at 2:30 PM (IST) before India A take on Afghanistan A in the second semifinal match on the same day at 7:00 PM (IST). Both the matches will take place at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman.
