New Delhi: The Board Of Control In India (BCCI) has been criticised by netizens after fans at the Maharashtra Cricket Association, Pune suffered.
What were they suffering? Let me tell you that the venue for the second Test against New Zealand, complained of the water crisis. The netizens took to social media to give details of the struggles they faced at the venue. The BCCI was trolled for failing to provide basic facilities like water to the fans despite being the richest board in the world. The fans who were at the venue claimed on social media that vendors were selling water at a whopping price of 80 rs per 100 ml.
Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team rewrote history on Day 1 of their first Test against New Zealand at the MCA Stadium in Pune. In the 147-year history of Test cricket, no other team has managed to claim all 10 wickets through off-spinners – something India managed to achieve on Thursday (October 24).
Tamil Nadu off-spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Washington Sundar spun out New Zealand for just 259 after India had lost the toss and were forced to bowl first. While Ashwin began the rout by claiming the first three wickets, it was Sundar who completed the collapse claiming the last 7 wickets to fall to finish with his career-best Test figures of 7/59 in 23.1 overs.
