According to Gavaskar, the ODI series against England next month is a great opportunity for this. India’s tour of England will run from July 14 to July 19.
Gavaskar said that both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who are returning to the ODI format, will have to perform well to cement their places. He said, ‘Rohit knows very well where he stands. Gavaskar also added that considering Rohit’s ability and talent, the pressure will not overwhelm him.
Fitness is most important

Gavaskar also said that the current Indian team has the potential to rule the cricket world for a long time and leave a unique mark in history.
Surprise on Ben Stokes’ retirement
Gavaskar also admitted that he was surprised by the sudden retirement of England all-rounder Ben Stokes. He said, ‘I thought he would retire at the end of the season.
