Kasganj (Uttar Pradesh) [भारत]June 29 (ANI): A Cessna 152 aircraft of Chetak Aviation crash-landed in a field in Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj district on Monday, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) officials said.

The aircraft, whose registration number is VT-AFB, was reportedly on a solo flying session from Aligarh when the incident occurred. “Cessna 152 aircraft VT-AFB of Chetak Aviation crash-landed in a field at Kasganj in UP while flying solo at Aligarh today,” DGCA said.

Officials confirmed that the female pilot was safe and did not suffer any major injuries. He was cared for immediately after crash-landing and no injuries were reported in the incident.

DGCA started investigation

Following the incident, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has initiated a formal investigation to find out the reasons behind the crash-landing. Currently, more information is awaited.

Plane accident also happened in Assam

In a separate incident on June 13, an AN-32 transport aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed at Jorhat Air Force Station in Assam, officials said.

The IAF had said, “An AN-32 transport aircraft crashed at Jorhat Air Force Station in Assam. More details are awaited.” Firefighting operations are underway at the crash site in Jorhat, when the AN-32 transport plane crashed at the airbase, officials said. It was reported that the accident occurred when the plane was trying to land at Jorhat airfield. (ANI)
