Actress Krishi Thapanda has broken her silence following the death of her close friend Vaishak. In an emotional social media post, she appealed for privacy, urged people to stop speculation, and asked everyone to let the grieving families mourn in peace.
Actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Krishi Thapanda has broken her silence following the tragic death of her close friend Vaishak, who died by suicide at her residence. In an emotional statement shared on social media, Krishi appealed for privacy and urged people to stop speculating about the incident. Her post comes amid widespread rumours surrounding her personal life and growing public scrutiny following Vaishak’s death.
Krishi Thapanda Shares Emotional Statement
Beginning her statement, Krishi wrote: “I never imagined I would have to write something like this.”
She continued: “I have neither the strength nor the mental peace to write this or put it before the world. I didn’t want to make any public statement in such a situation. But I have to do this because of the immense pressure, constant speculation, and repeated questions being thrown at me, my friends, and our families.”
She added that the past few days had changed her life in ways she had never imagined.
“While we are struggling to just survive an unimaginable loss, we are expected to explain it. The last few days have changed my life in ways I never thought possible.”
‘I Have Lost Someone Very Close to My Heart’
Krishi spoke about the emotional bond she shared with Vaishak and the profound impact of his loss.
“In the middle of all this, I have lost someone who was very close to my heart, a person who stood by me, protected me, and looked after me with only a kind heart. Losing him has created a void that words cannot describe. I don’t know if I will ever be able to accept this loss.”
She further wrote: “I have been in pain for a long time, and now I am faced with another unimaginable loss. It feels like I have lost parts of myself along the way.”
Appeals to the Media to Respect Privacy
Krishi expressed disappointment over the constant speculation surrounding the tragedy and appealed to the media to allow the families to grieve in peace.
“What makes this even harder is that I am not getting any time or peace to grieve. Instead, while his family, friends, and loved ones are trying to cope with this huge loss, there is constant speculation, assumptions, and an attempt to turn someone’s death into news.”
She acknowledged that some media organisations had acted responsibly but said others continued to seek reactions without considering the emotional impact.
“While some media outlets have been understanding and respectful, others keep pushing for a reaction. Their first question is often, ‘What is your reaction?’ and not, ‘Are you okay?’ or ‘How are you coping?'”
Clarifying her intention, she added: “I am not addressing any one person or media house, but everyone who is looking for answers without knowing the truth or understanding the impact of their actions.”
She also stated: “No one should expect a grieving person to justify their pain.”
‘Please Let Us Grieve in Peace’
Thanking those who had supported her during this difficult period, Krishi wrote:
“To everyone who is praying for me, checking on my well-being, contacting me through my friends, and sending kind messages, thank you. I may not have the strength to reply right now, but I see your love and I am deeply grateful. I am with my friends, trying to process everything with the little strength I have left.”
She then made an emotional appeal: “To the media (not all) and everyone who continues to speculate, I am begging you with folded hands, please stop this. Please do not trouble his family, my family, or our friends. Please don’t turn someone’s death into a headline or entertainment.”
Krishi also highlighted the impact of the tragedy on Vaishak’s loved ones.
“There is a family that has lost a son. There are friends who have lost a person they loved beyond words. There are people who are fighting to live every moment amidst this grief. Please give us the dignity and privacy we need to grieve in peace.”
‘Please Choose Kindness’
Concluding her statement, Krishi stressed the importance of compassion and awareness of mental health.
“Mental health is very fragile. Grief is very fragile. Every unnecessary question, every assumption hurts. If there is one thing I have always believed in, it is this: If you can’t bring a smile to someone’s face, at least don’t be the reason for their tears.”
She ended with a heartfelt plea: “If you can’t give someone a reason to live, at least don’t be the reason they lose hope. I beg everyone with folded hands, please let him rest in peace, and let his family, friends, and all of us grieve in peace.”
