A tragic accident took place in Barabanki district on Monday. Here, three laborers who fell into the underground diesel tank of a factory manufacturing chicken feed and rice bran died of suffocation. A laborer had landed here before cleaning the diesel tank. When he did not come up, two more workers came down, but none of them returned. As soon as information about the incident was received, a large number of workers gathered at the spot. Then he somehow pulled his three fellow laborers out of the tank and immediately took them to CHC. Here the doctors declared all three dead.
The entire case of death of three laborers due to suffocation in the tank is of Ganpati Agri Business Private Limited factory located in village Bhatehata under Jahangirabad police station area. In this factory, there is a rice mill on one side and a chicken feed plant on the other side, at a short distance away. A diesel tanker had arrived at the factory in the evening. Three laborers were called to clean the underground diesel tanker before filling it with oil.
3 workers got into the tank
Nilesh (22), a resident of Jahangirabad police station area, got down first to clean the tank. When Nilesh did not return outside for a long time, Sunil (30) got into the tank to see him. When he also did not return outside, Dharmendra got into the tank. When the three did not come out for a long time, there was a commotion in the factory. As soon as it was suspected that something untoward would happen to the three colleagues, some other laborers along with the security came down and saw that three laborers were lying unconscious, and they were taken out one by one.
After taking the three laborers out of the tank, the fellow laborers hurriedly took the three laborers to the nearest hospital, where after examination, the doctors declared all three dead. There was a stir in the entire factory due to the death of three people simultaneously. As soon as information about the incident was received, Superintendent of Police North Charanjeev Nath Sinha, SDM Sadar R. Jagat Sai, CO Fatehpur and in-charges of several police stations and police forces reached the spot.
Workers had entered the tank for cleaning
Police reached the spot, took possession of the dead bodies and conducted post-mortem. The police started investigating the entire matter. Additional Superintendent of Police North Chiranjeev Nath Sinha said that diesel was stored in a tank built in the factory, in which three people died one after the other.
