Recruitment in medical colleges

These include Medical College Tanda, Dr. YS Parmar Medical College Nahan, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Medical College Nerchowk (Mandi), Medical College Chamba and Medical College Hamirpur. The need for specialist faculty was felt in these institutions for a long time. The creation of new posts is expected to strengthen both teaching and medical services.

The government has created posts of Assistant Professors in a total of 12 departments keeping in mind various medical specialisms. The increasing number of patients and need for specialist doctors have been given priority in these departments.

- Cardiology- 5 posts
- Microbiology- 5 Posts
- Psychiatry – 5 posts

Pathology- 5 posts - Biochemistry Department- 4 Posts
Cardiology department will be built in Nahan and Chamba
These subjects have special importance in medical education and by strengthening them, medical students will be able to get expert guidance. At the same time, the most important aspect of this decision of the government is that it has been decided to establish cardiology departments in medical colleges, Nahan and Chamba. Under this, the posts of Assistant Professor of Cardiology (Super Specialty) have also been created in both the institutes.
